Spanning miles of mineral-black sand, Kenai beaches offer front-row seats to the Cook Inlet. Look across the active waters to spy active volcanoes Mount Redoubt and Mount Iliamna. Locals beach-walk, look for driftwood, and during July, dipnet for sockeye salmon at the river mouth.
