Published by Kenai Chamber Development Team
A year-long collaboration with the Kenaitze Indian Tribe brings new permanent installations to the Kenai Visitor & Cultural Center.
The Kenai Visitor & Cultural Center is proud to announce the grand opening of its newest permanent installation: the Dena'ina Heritage Exhibit. Developed over the past twelve months in close partnership with the Kenaitze Indian Tribe, the exhibit features historic tribal clothing, cedar baskets, hunting tools, and multimedia listening stations detailing the Athabascan language and traditions.
Visitors can explore local history through curated displays tracing ancestral fishing methods, traditional storytelling, and the deep cultural connection to the Kenai Peninsula. The exhibit is open during regular visitor center hours and is free to the public.
